Aesthetics of Conviviality. Studies on a practical theological ecclesiology sensibel to diversity
The dissertation project is part of the research project "Conviviality in Motion" (funded by the SNF) at the University of Basel. The research projects works on the question how Christian congregations which are diverse in language, religious tradition and life stories live together as one community.
My project is an empirically based research with two congregations. They reveal two focal points: 1) working with aesthetic media such as arts and music, 2) the work with youth and young adults. I work on the questions which relevance these aspects have for the communities. Moreover, I ask in relation to the overall research project which theologies and practices are prolific for the communal life - against the background of the different theological and structural profiles of the two congregations.
