Members of the Theological Faculty
The Theological Faculty Basel offers two programs in Protestant Theology. The first one leads up to a "Master of Theology"; the second one is designed for lateral entrants, offered in cooperation with the University of Zurich and leads to a "Master of Christianity". The areas of "Religious Studies" and "Jewish Studies" are maintained in cooperation with the philosophical-historical faculty. Additionally the joint program of "Religion, Economy and Politics" is offered in cooperation with the universities of Zurich and Lucerne.
One of the faculty's traditional events is the annual Leuenberg conference in the canton of Baselland. This conference is planned and held by the professors and students in cooperation. Student meetings, excursions and lecture series additionally enrich the academic calendar.
