The Faculty of Theology of the University of Basel
As a student at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Basel, you will be part of an intellectually stimulating environment and tightly-knit community and will have access to the latest international research.
The Faculty of Theology of the University of Basel offers two programs in Protestant Theology. The first leads to a Master of Theology; the second is designed for second career students, offered in cooperation with the University of Zurich and leads to a Master of Christianity. The areas of Religious Studies and Jewish Studies are offered in cooperation with the Faculty of Humanities (Philosophische-historische Fakultät). The joint program in Religion, Economics, and Politics is offered in cooperation with the universities of Zurich and Lucerne.
One of the Faculty's traditional events is the annual Leuenberg conference in the canton of Basel-Landschaft, which is organized jointly by the faculty members and students. Student meetings, excursions, and lecture series further enrich the academic calendar.
