Hebrew Bible and Semitic Philology
The department of Hebrew Bible and Semitic Philology focuses on the linguistic analysis, literary classification, and theological significance of the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament as well as the history and culture of ancient Israel down to the Hellenistic period.
