The 2022 Faculty Prize was awarded to Dr. Silke Radosh-Hinder and to Dr. des. Helge Bezold at the Dies Academicus on November 25.

Dr. Silke Radosh-Hinder received the prize for her dissertation «Konstruierte Gleichheiten. Eine Einzelfallstudie zu interreligiöser Kommunikation im urbanen Raum» («Constructed Equalities: A Case Study in Interreligious Communication in Urban Space») in the field of Practical Theology. Her dissertation addresses the question of how representatives from Jewish, Christian, and Muslim religious communities and organizations interact with each other, establish relationships, express religious and cultural differences, and negotiate different constellations of interests in the process of planning a joint project.

Dr. des. Helge Bezold received the prize for his dissertation «Ester – Eine Gewaltgeschichte. Literarische und historische Studien zu den Gewaltdarstellungen in der hebräischen und griechischen Esterüberlieferung» («Esther – A (Hi)story of Violence: Literary and Historical Studies on the Representation of Violence in the Hebrew and Greek Esther Traditions») in the field of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. In this study, he investigates the depiction of excessive violence in the conclusion to the Esther narrative in the Hebrew and Greek textual traditions.

Congratulations to both of them!
